Minority Pride in Atlanta!
Atlanta is a living testimony to the natural equality of the different races amongst humanity. Here in America, where the natural African-American populace has striven for the recognition of their inherent equality for centuries, Atlanta expresses this successfully. The city has had a black Mayor since 1974, and has been led effectively by both men and women. Not only in this true of the Mayor, but the majority of leadership roles within the city’s major public services: such as fire and police are also ‘black governed’.
Of course the City is interracial, and the simple fact that this is the case reiterates the naturalness of diversity within American culture and proves once again, beyond any doubt, that people of all colors and genders contain exemplars of excellence and leadership.
On a completely different note: the local name for I285 which I have been writing of as “The Greater Loop” is called “The Perimeter” by the locals which has the same meaning. As always, you will feel better when you are ‘in the know’, and this may help prevent confusion when you look into relocating to Atlanta- the gem of the New South.
